Job Summary
The Expeditor is to collect information regarding open purchase orders and distribute delivery data amongst the company. This role is critical for the company’s planning and customer collaboration.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Access to P21 system for all open orders for Baton Rouge branch location.
- Provide support to Inside Sales staff.
- Look for past due and upcoming orders and update the dates accordingly in P21 system. Expeditor responsible for notifying inside sales personnel of any changes.
- Obtain proof of delivery from vendors. Expeditor to send signed packing slips to customers.
- Assist in product returns.
- Assist Corporate Purchasing Department.
- Other duties as needed or requested.
Qualifications/Skills
- Associate Degree in Business preferred but not required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work weeks in excess of 40 hours when the workload requires it.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
